“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” Princess Diana

Have you ever been the recipient of a random act of kindness? Maybe someone paid for your meal, or a stranger gave you a gift without an opportunity to return the favor. We hear about these things and maybe even you have done it once or twice. If you have done it, do you remember what that felt like? We all can perform acts of kindness whenever we choose to do so. It does not have to be some grand gesture. Random acts - Princess DianaWe think of giving money to people but what about time? Can you find someone that needs a mentor? Someone that needs an upper hand that you can give. Start with something small. Let your heart be compelled to give out of compassion and empathy. Look around and you will find opportunities when you open yourself up to them. If you act on it privately, not on display for the world to see, you will find greater joy. When you do it for your personal gain you rob yourself of the heartfelt joy of giving.

Today, I will open my eyes and my heart to random acts of kindness. You know them when you see them. You have something you can do for others without any expectations of a return gesture.
