Priorities December 30
“The key is not to prioritize what’s on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.” – Stephen Covey
How do you prioritize your life? How do you determine what your priorities are? Can you only see the trees and not the forest? Sometimes it is hard to look forward and figure out what is a priority versus what happens to be urgent at the time. Deadlines can make things a priority for the time but then you are left with what are the priorities in your life. Find out what really matters to you. Maybe it’s family, friends, work, or play. Make your plans for each of those things so that you can address the priorities as you want them. Work is important and needs to get done but so does spending time with yourself and making sure you are healthy. Priorities are a part of life, and how you choose to deal with them will make a huge difference in your life.
Today, I will look to the priorities in my life and start to make the necessary adjustments to my life so that my priorities are where they need to be for me and my life.
This is the time of year when we tend to look over the past months or this past year of our lives and see what we have accomplished or what we have missed. We then decide what our priorities will be for the upcoming year. If you are looking for some help with your planning for the next year, now is the time to ask for help. Ask a friend, colleague, family member, or even a life or business coach. Do not hesitate to ask for help. It may be that other voice that helps you focus on what is important.
You can always reach out to us here for a free one-to-one call to learn more about what we can do to help you and your business set your priorities at any time of the year.
